How the Grand Cru wines speak Portuguese

Gula, one of the most prestigious and renowned food and wine magazines in Brazil, has recently featured an extensive and laudatory article about our Grand Cru wines in their June issue.

"Vallepicciola é um belo exemplo que sempre há como oxigenar o mundo do vinho" ("Vallepicciola is a beautiful example that there is always a way to invigorate the wine world"), writes journalist Marcel Miwa, who visited our winery last January 2023 and participated in the Grand Cru event, specifically designed to present the three wines that make up Vallepicciola's premium line.

This oenological project, led by our General Director Alessandro Cellai, reveals the essence of our land through a precious combination of elegance, richness, variety and complexity.

Vallepicciola Rosso, a pure Sangiovese of rare olfactory intensity. It is straightforward, immediately engaging, and a gentleman from the first sip. The Bordeaux blend - named Migliorè - is an extremely tailor-made wine that conceals extraordinary complexity. It is shrouded in mystery, much like a man with an impenetrable character. However, if you grasp its honesty of spirit, you will fall in love. Far from the typical Tuscan imagery is Vallepicciola Bianco, a 100% chardonnay. Its description resonates in Portuguese: "Ataque com frutas brancas, na boca já mostra ótima integração (Initial flavours of white fruits, showing excellent integration on the palate).

Gula magazine is a reference point in the food and wine sector not only in Brazil but also throughout the Lusophone world. We are extremely happy to be featured with an extensive and in-depth report dedicated to us. Read the full article.
